February 13, 2006 -- Squid & Squash Foundation, in partnership with Habitat for Humanity Greater Los Angeles and Canyon Charter School [Santa Monica, CA] was the first in the nation to carry out House in Box/Operation Home Delivery on a school campus. Canyon Charter School students played an integral role by partaking in fundraising activities throughout the year to help fund the build.

Numerous volunteers including teachers, parents, and local community members built the frame of the house. Upon completion, the frame was shipped to Immokalee,

Florida for completion and dedicated to a family impacted by Gulf Coast Region hurricanes in 2005.
